ABRS Pits for Hankook Tires
Allen Berg Racing Schools has announced that Hankook Tire has signed on as the official tire supplier for school’s high-energy educational racing programs.
“We couldn’t be more pleased with this association,” said driving school founder and former Formula 1 driver, Allen Berg. “Our formula cars are very light, very quick machines. Our new partnership with Hankook will give our students an even better feel for what’s happening at the other end of their steering wheel while they’re out on the track.”
The tires that the school will be using for their cars are the Hankook Ventus F200 and Z206 race tires. At the forefront of cutting edge cutting edge track and race tire development, Hankook combines state-of-the-art computational designs with the latest materials, all of which are produced in highly sophisticated tire manufacturing methods and plants.
"With the MoTec on-board data systems that we use every day in our teaching, we'll be able to make every lap of every car a part of their testing and development," Berg explained. "This is something that we want our drivers to know about and to understand … this sort of feedback is a huge part of the driver's responsibility in the pro ranks and our students will be involved in that aspect every lap."
Hankook's racing tires were first made available in the United States in 2003 with the introduction of the Ventus RSS Z211 R-Compound racing tire. Following the RSS Z211, Hankook introduced R-s2 Z212 and the R-s3 Z222. Over the past few years Hankook's involvement and investment in motorsports has steadily increased … And the track records prove it! At Hankook Tire the focus is always on developing better technologies and better performance, helping drivers to excel at whatever driving or racing endeavor they may pursue.
“We’re looking forward to giving the Hankook engineers a lot of feedback on their tires,” said Berg. “They feel that they’ll be learning some very valuable information from the way that their tires perform on our race cars. And we agree!”
“Hankook Tire America Corp. is excited to be a sponsor of Allen Berg Racing Schools. Motorsports programs, such as this, are part of our ongoing marketing and brand awareness efforts and Allen Berg Racing Schools will be a great partnership to deliver on that effort," said Hankook Tire America Corp. Motorsports Marketing Manager Paul Jho. "Allen Berg Racing Schools will be a great opportunity to engage students and will help our brand to reach more consumers through this unique and exciting program.”
Berg's latest racing school location has drawn strong positive attention from both students and members of the media. The infield road course at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California is a great place to learn precise competition driving and the location is easily accessable from anywhere the southland.
As the school website indicates: "… Whether you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime race driving experience, or you're at the point where you're ready for the sort professional advice and personal coaching that can take your skills to the next level. This is authentic, world class instruction featuring direct consultation with former Formula 1 championship driver, Allen Berg." … And now, ABRS drivers will be able to do just that on the very latest in tire technology from Hankook Tires.
