Our fully qualified and highly professional instructors all share a passion to create a dynamic racing school, in which our customers have an unparalleled driving experience. Our programs are ideal for both those clients who are only looking for the experience of driving authentic formula racecars to those looking to ABRS to provide the fundamentals in which to go racing.
David Piket is arguably the leading high performance instructor and race driving coach in Western Canada. David’s diverse and unique background includes formal training from the Canadian Ski Instructor’s Alliance, with highlights in his thirty year career including founding and coaching the US synchronized ski team to a silver medal in the World Championships, two gold medals, four bronze medals and appearances in the NASTAR National Finals.
He has transcended his high standards and many skill sets from elite ski racing into automotive high performance driving and through application of his unique background has developed an outstanding reputation in automotive driver education and coaching, working as a new vehicle trainer with sales staff, instructor and demonstrator with numerous automotive manufacturers.
David is an integral part of all programs and concepts developed at Allen Berg Racing Schools, many of which are now being applied into other sports disciplines at the international level.
Part engineer, part kinesiologist, part sport physiologist, David’s background and coaching methods have made him a highly sought after professional mentor, who we are delighted to have on staff at ABRS.

Samuel Collazo - Chief Technician
|
One of the most experienced members of our team, Samuel heads up the technical department of ABRS. He is responsible for all preparation of the formula cars and karts, as well as supervising technical staff.
Samuel brings a wealth of experience to ABRS in a broad racing of racing disciplines. With twelve years of racing experience at International levels, he has worked in NASCAR, Champcar Toyota Atlantic, Formula 3000, Indy Lights, Formula Three as well as numerous smaller categories including karting. Collazo worked with Berg as his mechanic and together they won many races and championships, he was also on staff with Berg’s 2002 Toyota Atlantic team, Scuadra Fortia.
Hailing from Mexico, Samuel and his family immigrated to Canada in 2008 to fill the key role of ABRS Chief Technician. Samy is recognized for his impeccable attention to detail in all technical aspects of racecar preparation, ensuring that all ABRS equipment runs reliably and safely in all of our courses.

Edouard Kassianoff – Technical Manager
|
Raised with an emphasis on sport, Edouard is a graduate from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Computer Integrated Mechanical Design. Edouard has worked various positions including product design, engineering support and component design. His previous education allied with the recent completion of the Mechanics Training Program at the Bridgestone Racing Academy provides a firm base of mechanical understanding and technical skill.
Extremely well spoken and professional, he manifests a maturity well beyond his years. He has successfully applied his technical knowledge into meticulous attention to detail in the shop as well as impeccable driving and instruction on the track.

Stuart Hunter - Online Networking
|
Stuart is a long time Motorsport enthusiast. He started wood shedding in the garage with his Father working on his first car. During the late ‘70’s and early’80’s, he was active in the Calgary Motorsport community both as a racer and grearhead. Although his presence in the racing community has diminished over the years, his love for the sport never has.
With over 25 years experience; Marketing, Promotions, Event Management, and his positively infectious manner in getting the party started, Stuart is a natural to administrate our Online Social Networking Presence. Drop him a message – you’ll be glad you did!

Nick Bryk – Middle East Representative
|
Nick brings international sport experience and expertise to the ABRS team. Nick has worked abroad on high profile sports/events including football (Brazil / England Football / Soccer Friendly), rugby (Canada / Argentina Rugby Friendly), athletics (World Track & Field Championships), motorsports (Moto GP & GP-2) as well as various multi-sport events in Canada, Australia and the Middle East (Doha Asian Games & 2011 Asian Cup)
With a background in event management, sponsorship development, spectator services, volunteer management, recognition programs, logistics and business planning, and having travelled extensively, Nick believes in the importance of incorporating a local flavour to each sporting event he has worked on. Currently living and working in the Middle East as a sports consultant, Nick also works as a Safety Car Driver at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.
Misti Hurst brings a solid pedigree of international motorsports experience to our team of instructors. She comes from a motorcycling background, having raced at the elite level in both the Canadian Nationals as well as the AMA, often as the only women in a sea of male competitors.
Misti is not only well respected in the industry for her talents in racing, but also for her successes as top level motorcycle riding coach. For the past 7 years Misti has worked with a world-renowned riding school coaching novice riders, series champions and everyone in-between.
With a love of speed and motorsports, and a passion for teaching, Misti conducts herself at the track with enthusiasm, professionalism, and excellent communication skills to ensure that her students improve and have fun in the process. She is looking forward to bringing her unique set of coaching skills from the world of two wheels into the world of four.
