"I most enjoyed that I was treated like a driver that belonged in a real race car. It couldn't have been a better day. Each and every aspect was a huge positive point to me."
|
"I'm grinning, I'm happy, and I'm pissed about my lap times and I want another shot at knocking 10-15 seconds off my lap.
I don't know if I'm starting to save for my return or whether I should start saving for the kids to run the karts in a few years. Either way, I will be back and that was a fantastic day.
I blogged here: http://markzaugg.com/blogs/archive/2008/07/02/1362.aspx
Yes, I'm telling my friends and I truly feel every driver on the roads should attend your school.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will see you again, in better shape and better prepared to get more from both car and track."

"Stream-Flo Industries was looking for an activity to tie into our sales meeting that would allow all to participate. We chose Allen Berg Racing Schools as Allen and his crew were exceptionally accommodating. We were able to work the opportunity into our schedule. The staff were very professional and the equipment was the latest and greatest.
It was a great experience for all of our staff, women and men."

"Our June 29 karting experience was very professionally run and more exciting than I think any of us imagined.
Out of our group of 12 that participated that day, to a man, we were all very impressed with the entire event. There will definately be a bunch of us returning to do some more racing very soon.
Thanks for a memorable day,I look forward to seeing you and your staff next year."

"On Sept 11 of this year, you allowed me participate on the second day of your two day lapping event/school. I would like to thank you for this opportunity and I would also like to let you know how well run and organized your operation is.
As a full time business owner in Calgary and part time sports car racer, competitive track time and quality coaching around here is scarce. Your session allowed me to trigger and polish my basic performance driving skills before heading to California to race. The fundamental elements of race car competition was discussed , from wet weather competition to driving in a pack flat out, from passing to being passed, all this re-ignites the will to compete and reminds one of their conduct on and off the track.
“Little” things we tend to forget when the helmet goes on.
With the instruction and coaching from your school, you assisted our team in two third place finishes in two races at Sears Point/ Infineon Raceway. A track we have not raced on, and newcomers to a series, which is near the end of its season, that is success.
All that said, we are fortunate to have your caliber of knowledge in a location we call home. Darcy and Dave are spot on with the high level of input they provide. I look forward to more days with your outfit. The lunch is awesome as well."

"As you know, I was a late-substitution for a seat reserved by my brother, who was ultimately unable to attend. As you maybe knew (or didn't know), I'm a long-ago Kart-racer.
Well I gotta tell ya, I had a gas. From the moment I walked into the classroom until the end of the last track-session. Talking vehicle-dynamics, apexes, entry and exit points, etc. sure got my old racer-brain going. Then into the car; the smell coming off the front tires, the sensations of a single-seater... well, you know.
Both you and David as instructors were great; paced, positive and professional. Even when I was a bit 'eager' in the car, the feedback I received was calm and constructive, helping me to concentrate on the job at hand. I feel I came away with a better understanding of lines and braking-points, and even realized some questionable habits from long-past racing days. And boy did I have fun running that car!
Ian and Jess were knowledgable, courteous and helpful. They represented your team well, and clearly had the best interests of the cars and drivers in mind.
The cars were tidy, well-prepared and well-sorted. I had wondered about this prior to my arrival, as a fussy gear-head, and was pleasantly surprised. There's no magic in setting up a car wrong. Right however, is a matter of diligence. Not once did I question the set-up, operation or safety of the car after I'd looked it over and had my first stint in it.
And your lunch caterer pleasantly made a bunch of hungry guys happy, with good food and equally good service.
I'd like to thank your whole team for a fun and educational day. I was completely immersed in a different world for a while, which has great merit on its own.
I hope my brother will attend a future session, and I intend to discuss the Kart-school with my son."

"Your course was conducted in a very professional manner and was well worth the price. Thank you for the insight and comparisons made to all types of racing, and driving techniques."

"Thank's again to the whole team at your racing school. My 9 year old son Parker and myself had a blast as we finished off our day racing wheel to wheel. The instruction for Parker by Dave and yourself was great and I couldn't ask for more as that showed at the end of our session. The day consisted of way more high speed laps than I thought we would drive. After taking a little rubbing on the way home which was earned,we both agreed that we couldn't have spent a better day together. I know we will be back for another session soon just to put a few things to rest."

"I took your racing school a few weeks ago, and after I ran my best race ever. My average lap time at the CKRC track before the school was a 59 seconds and my best lap time was 58.62 seconds. After your school my average time was a 58 seconds, and in the Pre-Final in Race 7 I ran a whole lot of 57's. Your school worked really well, and it was a pleasure to work with you and your staff. I think it's amazing to know one of three Canadians to ever drive Formula 1."

"The day long session was an excellent balance of easy to understand racing theory, progressive on track experience. It gave me a really solid start to karting"

"I had my field personnel in town for meetings and we spent the following day at ABRS. The whole day was excellent, and after the theory lessons we had very solid seat time. The emphasis on our driving time enabled all of us to walk away with good learnings."

"Just a quick note to tell you how much Cristy and I enjoyed the school on June 20. I enjoyed the open wheel car experience very much and I thought that the speed restrictions that we were given were very generous. A first class operation from David’s tutorial on peripheral vision to the catered lunch that was the best “Track food” that I have ever had. Good job guys. I will recommend it to our “Calgary Vintage Racing Club” group and maybe you will get a few customers from there."

"The 2-day formula car school was a fulfillment of a longtime goal. Getting strapped into and driving the Formula Renault car was a fantastic experience. The first day was a gradual development of the basic skills of handling the car, shifting, braking and race driving on the surprisingly fast short course. Day 2 was the real payoff. Driving these cars at full speed on the whole race track was definitely worth the extra cost of the 2-day course, in fact I can't imagine doing the first day then not advancing to run the entire track. Day 2 featured much more seat time than day 1, which had concentrated on introducing basic skills. By the end of the second day I was driving a race car as it was intended to be run."

"I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity I had to spend some time with you learning to drive your formula cars. I think it was great to be able to learn from someone that has accually raced formula 1. As a fifteen year old go-kart racer wanting to make the move to formula cars, I felt like the time I spent with you and your crew was invaluable. Of course, my favorite part of the class was getting to drive the car at speed. The whole class was very worthwhile. I had alot of fun."

"After spending the past weekend with ABRS doing the full day karting program, testing and CKRC race, I want to thank you for a tremendous three days.
Your personal involvement, depth of knowledge and passion for precision translated into a very rewarding experience for me.
Special thanks to Fred and Jesse who remained very attentive and approachable with any questions, all while making sure the CRG karts were always race-ready. Dave Piket was the calm center in a storm of information, doing a remarkable job of directing mental traffic to reframe each component of the curriculum and tailor it to the individual. You have assembled a top-notch organization.
On race day the hand-off to Kerry and Brent at All Terrain Motorsports/Evolution Racing was seamless. They did a terrific job of working with Dave and all of the ABRS drivers to maximize our performance on the track. Communication with Kerry was cordial, clear, concise and well-focused on taking everyone to the next level. Solid advice and attention to detail instilled a sense of confidence as we headed out for each session. Add to that a great team atmosphere and it was easy for a newcomer to feel comfortable and relaxed at the track.
The racers, families and volunteers of the Calgary Kart Racing Club were also very gracious and welcoming. Congratulations on your stewardship of a really nice group of people and a first-rate track.
Now having attended ABRS, it’s obvious to this student you are laying the foundation for a lasting legacy in the sport, that will benefit generations of drivers to come."

"My son, Kyoichi took the one day karting program on Friday and he flew like a rocket in the race following Sunday. Their TKM 4 stroke karts helped him to find better lines, and a smoother driving style. The braking exercises made it easier for him to overtake at the hairpin corner. I was impressed as he never tried to overtake other drivers at the braking of the hairpin before. He said he had a big confidence boost after the ABRS school. We are so happy to see the big improvement of his driving.
I just want to tell everyone how ABRS worked for Kyoichi to improve his skill, and it is worth to take their class to get the better performance at the race day. Thank ABRS for the excellent program.

The machinery, track condition and quality of instruction were absolutely first rate. Above all your willingness to go to extra effort to ensure a great experience is testament to your commitment and professionalism."
